Autumn Planting

In Reception we have been finding out about the season autumn. This week Mrs Shutt brought some bulbs for the children to plant. We opened up the bag of bulbs and talked about how they were different too seeds. The children thought the bulbs looked like onions! We spent the afternoon burying the bulbs deep in the soil and covering them up to keep them warm during the winter. We talked about how we need to be patient when we plant but it will be worth the wait because our garden will be blooming just in time for spring!
