From Seed to Sunflower

Our topic this half term is based on the question ‘How does our garden grow?’ We used the Non Fiction text to find out about the Life Cycle of a sunflower and we decided to grow our own! We spent time discussing the things we would need and thought about what we would need to care for our seed. We spent time feeling the soil and examining the seed and we couldn’t quite believe that something so tall will grow from such a tiny seed. We have found out that it will take 14 days for our seed to germinate so we have added the date to our calendar. We can’t wait to watch them grow.
