What do plants need in order to grow?

In Science this week we have been thinking back to what we already know about plants and the conditions they need in order to grow. We had remembered a lot! To move our learning on, we set up a comparative test to see if plants could still grow if we remove one of the conditions. We have put 1 plant in the dark, 1 plant doesn’t have any soil (nutrients), 1 plant is in a hot place, 1 is in a cold spot, we have put a plant in a bag to reduce the amount of air and 1 isn’t going to get any water. We also have a control plant that we are going to look after. We can already see that the plant without nutrients from the soil is not looking very healthy.
