Keeping our children safe
At Victoria Road Primary School, online safety is an essential part of keeping our children safe. We have robust security measures in place, which are monitored both internally and externally, to help protect pupils from inappropriate content, online risks and potential dangers.
Online safety is taught throughout the curriculum and is embedded in everyday learning. Pupils are given the knowledge and skills they need to stay safe online, make responsible choices and behave appropriately when using digital technologies. We also reinforce these important messages through assemblies, themed events, special visitors and dedicated online safety focus weeks.
Working in partnership with parents and carers is vital to ensuring children remain safe online. We believe that a consistent approach between home and school helps children to develop safe and positive online habits. We encourage all parents and carers to talk regularly with their children about online safety and responsible digital behaviour.
If you are concerned about online abuse, inappropriate content, or the way someone has been communicating with you or your child online, please use the reporting button below to seek advice or make a report.
Together, we can help ensure that all children enjoy the benefits of technology safely and responsibly.
