How does it look in our school?
- Staff are trained in Thrive and use it in everyday classroom practice
- We complete regular assessments to identify needs
- We provide targeted Thrive sessions for individuals or small groups
- We use play, creativity, movement and connection to support emotional needs
- We celebrate progress in confidence, independence and communication
Thrive is not a “behaviour system” — it is a preventative, relational approach. It helps us spot early signs of dysregulation and respond in ways that support nervous system safety, rather than just react to behaviour.
What does this mean for families?
You may hear your child talk about their “Thrive time” or particular strategies they are learning. We also involve families where appropriate, because strong school–home communication supports consistent emotional development.
